A region deeply shaped by the D-Day landings, but also by a family farming heritage forged by generations of farmers. Today, the estate is run by two enthusiasts who have sought to turn it into a welcoming, peaceful place where visitors feel right at home.
To offer you a complete Norman experience, we have surrounded ourselves with carefully selected local partners, ready to help you discover the region beyond the Domaine.
Elsa & Nico
An estate restored with care and attention
The Domaine Utah Beach is, above all, the story of Nicolas, an engineer and farmer, and Elsa, a toy’s librarian with a passion for hospitality and sharing.
In 2008, Nicolas returned to his native region, the Cotentin, to take over his parents’ farm. He is the fifth generation of farmers to cultivate this land, which is now run as an organic farm. He renovated the old farmhouse and launched a tourism business with the ‘Gîtes Lavalle’, before leaving the industry in 2014 to devote himself fully to his land.
In 2019, it was love at first sight: Elsa and Nicolas bought the ‘Grand Hard’ farm from their neighbours, who converted it into a hotel-restaurant in 2000. The merger of the two properties gave rise to Domaine Utah Beach, which now comprises a 4* hotel, the restaurant Chez Arsène, comfortable 3-star gîtes, and the estate’s farm.

Just five minutes from the beach, the Domaine Utah Beach covers 330 hectares of unspoilt countryside, in the heart of the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Regional Nature Park.
A peaceful, simple and authentic setting, designed by Elsa and Nicolas to reflect their own personalities:

Offering organic and locally sourced produce, buildings renovated with respect for their historic character, home-cooked meals and a warm welcome, Elsa and Nicolas invite you into their world, hoping you’ll feel right at home.
