You are right in the middle of famous landing sites, better known as D-Day sites: Utah Beach is only 3 minutes away and you are close to Sainte Mère Église (10min), Omaha Beach, the Cimetière Américain at Colleville sur Mer, Pointe du Hoc (30mn) and of course the Mémorial de Caen (50mn).
Major sites
like the famous Tapestry of Bayeux (40mn), the Castle of William the Conqueror in Caen (50mn) or the wonderful Mont Saint Michel (1h30) can be reached in no time.
A bad weather day? A visit to the planetarium of La Hague will reveal secrets or you can discover the deep end of the ocean at Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg (35mn), the deepest aquarium of Europe next to the biggest artificial harbor in the world!
